Volunteer

Do you want to contribute to nature on a small Caribbean Island in a big way? Then join us as a STENAPA volunteer, either if this is for a university (research) project or if you just want to spend time on the island! You will take part in essential maintenance work of national park services or get involved in research and monitoring projects. Become part of our team, build your experience in nature conservation, and make a difference!

Our volunteers get the opportunity to work in all the departments (marine, terrestrial and education & outreach) as we believe that it is important to emphasize the inter-connectivity between environments and to inform the (local) community what we do on the island and how they can be part of the nature on Statia. Essentially, this means that all volunteers will be expected to help across the departments as required. Please note that any activities that require diving will only be undertaken by volunteers with a minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water certification with DAN insurance.

*The minimum age to volunteer with STENAPA when coming from abroad, is 18 years old.

*To apply please email your C.V. and  cover letter to STENAPA at volunteer@statiapark.org.

*Download the Volunteer Handbook with packing list.

*Read our latest Volunteer Call.

*If you are a resident on Statia and would like to volunteer, please come by the office on the bay, email us at volunteer@statiapark.org, or call us on +599 318 2884.
