St Eustatius National Parks Foundation (STENAPA) is seeking a Junior Ranger Program Intern.
Overview of tasks:
As an intern, you will lead and develop the content and activities for the Junior Ranger Program.
Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for teaching youth
- Interest in environmental conservation
- Basic understanding of marine and terrestrial ecosystems
- Experience in conserving nature in marine and terrestrial parks in the Caribbean
- Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field and level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom)
- Proficiency in Canva
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Possession of a manual driver’s license and PADI Advanced Dive certification (or similar) is required
During your internship, you will:
- Lead the Junior Ranger Program, including organizing activities, coordinating with participants and ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
- Create and develop materials for the After School Program, such as lesson plans, educational resources, and engaging activities.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation, feedback, and any other relevant information.
