St Eustatius National Parks Foundation (STENAPA) is seeking a Junior Ranger Program Intern.

Overview of tasks:

As an intern, you will lead and develop the content and activities for the Junior Ranger Program.

Requirements:
  • Enthusiasm for teaching youth
  • Interest in environmental conservation
  • Basic understanding of marine and terrestrial ecosystems
  • Experience in conserving nature in marine and terrestrial parks in the Caribbean
  • Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field and level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Lightroom)
  • Proficiency in Canva
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possession of a manual driver’s license and PADI Advanced Dive certification (or similar) is required
During your internship, you will:
  • Lead the Junior Ranger Program, including organizing activities, coordinating with participants and ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
  • Create and develop materials for the After School Program, such as lesson plans, educational resources, and engaging activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation, feedback, and any other relevant information.
