Drum $40.00 membership fee
The Spotted Drum fish (Equetus punctatus) vibrate their
swim bladders which produces a low pitched (drumming)
sound. They hide in crevices, ledges and small caves
during the day and feed in the open at night, eating
crabs, shrimps and annelid worms. This distinctive fish
was chosen to be the symbol of the Marine Park because
of its abundance in Statia’s waters.
